We kick off the new academic programme with one of the most important topics at the moment: Education for Sustainable Development and Citizenship (ESDC)

For this panel discussion we have invited some of the most active speakers in the fields of Diversity and Inclusion, Global Citizenship and Sustainability in ELT, and we will be challenging them with questions on the importance of the topic, and how teachers can integrate these principles into their teaching.

PHONICS IN PRE-PRIMARY: A GREAT PLACE TO START

Teaching young children how to read and write might seem challenging, especially when they are learning English as a second language. In fact, phonics was one of the most requested training topics from teachers in our MENA Insights survey, so we are really happy to have young learner expert and Macmillan author, Lorena Peimbert, joining us and showing us the concrete steps for introducing phonics as well as many useful classroom practices and games to make phonics fun for young learners
Don't miss this session if you are teaching pre-primary or lower primary!

LUCY CRICHTON
THE CHILD'S LANGUAGE JOURNEY: FROM RECEPTION, TO PRODUCTION, TO COMMUNICATION

Language is crucial to a young child’s development: for communicating, for building relationships and for making sense of the world. As Loris Malaguzzi said, “There are infinite ways that children can express, explore and connect their thoughts, feelings and imaginings.” In this webinar, we’ll follow this beautiful journey, and look at ways we can help and support children in acquiring a rich and diverse language skill set. By using age appropriate input and careful scaffolding, we can strengthen children’s spoken output and guide them towards confidence and autonomy.
