SEPT 02, 2021

AL icons separate-05.png

Projects are one of the best ways to engage young learners in English language learning (in our opinion). However, they are not always easy to set up and manage. So, how can we use them to best effect and get our students using English in rich and meaningful ways? In this practical workshop we will look at how to adapt Macmillan course materials to get students working together, communicating and achieving better outcomes through project work.

This workshop forms the webinar section of our MENA PD Academy professional development module.

SEPT 09, 2021

Join this webinar to discover how to design and organise project work online to help your learners practise their language skills, boost creativity, improve collaboration, develop critical thinking and communication skills. I will explain how to set up, conduct and evaluate engaging online tasks and projects. I will also offer the essential selection of apps and ICT solutions to support you and your learners on the path to success in online project work.

Note: this session is open to all...

Developing students critical thinking skills are often cited as being one of the most challenging aspects for teachers in MENA. And while there are lots of webinars explaining what critical thinking 'is' (how many times have you seen Bloom's Taxonomy?), we feel like often there isn't a matching level of support for how to actually translate that into practice, as well as how and where other forms of thinking affect what goes on during the learning process.

This workshop forms the webinar section of our MENA PD Academy professional development module.

SEPT 14, 2021

AL icons separate-01.png

Assessing project work can be a difficult process when teaching in-person lessons, but it can be especially difficult when we are teaching in a virtual environment. How can we ensure that the outcomes of project work, as well as the skills needed to successfully engage in these types of tasks, are meaningfully assessed, online and offline? This webinar aims to explore the outcomes and skills we can assess during project work as well as the practicalities of how we can do this in our various settings.
